I’m excited to announce that the release date for the book Yoga for Times of Change: Practices and Meditations for Moving Through Stress, Anxiety, Grief & Life’s Transitions, which is being published by Shambhala Publications, is May 24, 2022. And the book is already available for pre-ordering in a wide range of places! I have a list of some of them at the end of this post.

Here’s a little about the book: Written during the pandemic, the book describes how yoga can help you adapt to and accept change, including changes in your personal life as well as changes in your community and even world-wide changes. It offers a wide range of both ancient and modern techniques that allow you to return yourself to balance when you’re experiencing emotional, physical, and mental challenges, and to fortify yourself for the future. The practices are simple and down to earth, suitable for all ages and body types, and include simple yoga poses and sequences, breath practices, relaxation practices, and meditations. The book also provides many yoga techniques you can use to make peace with change through accepting your ever-changing self and the ever-changing world in which you live. I’m also excited to announce that Barrie Risman is filming all the sequences in the book so when the book comes out you’ll be able to purchase videos of her teaching whichever sequences in the book you want to practice with her!
