I have exciting news today. We’ll be opening our Online Yoga Studio for business on April 1!
Our mission is to provide online yoga classes and workshops that are especially designed to help foster healthy aging, covering the four basic physical skills—strength, flexibility, balance, and agility—as well as all our other essential skills, including managing stress and cultivating equanimity. Although I’m the studio owner, Leza Lowitz is going to function as the studio manager. You can reach her at tokioyoga@gmail.com with questions or concerns.
Although we have big ideas for what this new Yoga for Healthy Aging Online Yoga Studio could become, we are going to start off with baby steps and have a soft opening for our studio with just three ongoing classes, all offered on Zoom:
- Building Strength, taught by Barrie Risman on Wednesdays at 11:00am-12:15pm (Eastern Time Zone in the USA).
- Cultivating Flexibility (Yin Yoga), taught by Leza Lowitz on Tuesdays at 12:00pm-1:15pm (Eastern Time Zone in the USA).
- Cultivating Agility (Slow Flow), taught by Leza Lowitz on Thursdays at 12:00pm-1:15pm (Eastern Time Zone in the USA).
For detailed information about the individual classes, see Our Yoga for Healthy Aging Online Classes. For information about the individual teachers, see Our Yoga for Healthy Aging Teachers.
In this soft opening, we’re experimenting with using software package called Punchpass to allow you to sign-up for and pay for a single class single class or workshop or to buy a pass to multiple classes. To pay for and sign up for classes, you will use our Schedule of Classes page to interact with Punchpass as described next.
Using Punchpass to Sign Up and Pay for Classes and Workshops
We have one page set up where you can use Punchpass to sign up for a class to take, pay for a single class, and purchase a pass to multiple classes that is valid for any class on the schedule: the Schedule of Classes.
You don’t need a Punchpass account to buy a ticket to a single class. However, if you want to buy a pass for multiple classes, if you wish to save your credit card information with Punchpass to make future purchases easier, and/or you want to see all the classes you’ve signed up for in one place, you can create a Punchpass account for yourself on the Schedule of Classes. You can also sign in to your existing Punchpass account on the Schedule of Classes. All the Punchpass functionality you need is available on that one page.
You’ll find more detailed instructions for using the Schedule of Classes to interact with Punchpass on the Schedule of Classes page itself.
