Dynamic Locust pose is a great way to strengthen the entire back of
your body, from the base of your skull all the way to the back of your legs. The one-legged version is a good starting place for those who are
newer to back-bending or feel weak in the back body. Progress to the two-legged version when you are feeling stronger and ready
for the challenge.

This would be a good substitute for bow pose, correct?
Indeed. Bow pose is a much more intermediate back bending pose not accessible to many beginners or older or injured students. Locust is very accessible for most all students that can easily transfer to the floor for practice. Baxter
