Using a strap between your hands in Warrior 2 pose works your arms and shoulders differently than the classic pose pose, relaxing some muscle groups you normally engage in the classic pose and engaging others you don’t normally use. This variation can be especially useful for those with some weakness in the trapezius muscles (in your upper back) and deltoid muscles (in your shoulders) because the suspension action of strap helps you hold your arms up. It can also help those with a resting tremor of the hands to quiet the tremor in the pose.
